If you're going to steal something fast, steal a helmet too. This past week a friend i race with had both of his brand new motocross bikes stolen out of his locked garage in the middle of the night. He has two huge dogs that never woke up and light sensors surrounding his property, so the theft wasn't from lack of prevention. The next day he gets a call from the Trenton Police letting him know they recovered what was left of his 450. A 16 year old kid smashed it into a car doing 65-80 mph, flew 70 ft over the hood landing on his face. The kids still in a coma in the ICU and my friends out a total of around $18,000, not to mention all plans for racing and good times this season are out. Below are some cell phone pics from the scene of the accident.

lost + found
There's a place near the coast of NJ, where parts like this wait and rot in the woods. Three years ago I watched two roll off dumpsters full of vintage bikes and parts get scrapped because the new owner of the property thought it was junk. Needing money makes people do sad things sometimes. Went back recently and found this seat and other nice pieces buried in the dirt aged just right.
